Most tap and sink faults come down to a worn washer or cartridge, a failed seal or a blocked trap. We find which one and fix it, rather than selling you a new tap you do not need.
A tap that drips, will not turn off or leaks round the base wastes water and marks the basin. It is usually a worn washer, ceramic disc or cartridge, or a failed seal at the spout or base, and we carry the common parts.
A damp cupboard, a bowl of water that keeps filling or a stain on the floor beneath. We trace it to a flexible hose, isolation valve, compression joint or waste connection and fix it properly.
Standing water, gurgling pipes or a smell from the plughole. We clear the blockage with the right tools instead of pouring chemicals down, and tell you if the problem is further down the drain.
Stop the water. Look for the small isolation valves on the pipes under the sink and turn each slot a quarter turn with a flat screwdriver. If there are none, turn off the stopcock, usually under the kitchen sink.
Protect the area. Move things out of the cupboard, put a bowl or towels under the leak, and keep electrics away from the water.

Basin mixers, bath fillers and wall-mounted taps in bathrooms and cloakrooms. Wall-mounted taps need the pipework positioned carefully before the wall is finished, so tell us early and we will plan it with you.
